cool things at integrity

We had a “ministry day” this past Saturday and it was a blast! Early that morning we went to a local elementary school and did some landscaping to get them ready for back to school. We actually went to the same school early this morning and presented school supplies and book bags for the teachers to distribute to needy students. Also, on Saturday afternoon we helped the students at ECU move in. Here is the info card we gave them…
It was also encouraging that we had 97 people in attendance on sunday morning. Please continue to pray for us as we strive to reach Greenville for Jesus.

Bands from Iceland are few and far between. But Sigur Ros is one that you MUST check out. Unless you are from Iceland you will not be able to understand a word being said in the songs but I will say that the somber melodies and the brilliant arrangement of each song will have you wanting more. I spend a lot of time listening to these guys when I am studying and reading. It really puts me at ease. The title of their new album is með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust which is traslated “With a Buzz in Our Ears We Play Endlessly”. I hope you get a chance to check this band out. You can find them on itunes.

Jon Foreman’s “Summer” EP is out. You can purchase it on itunes for $5.94. I don’t think this one is as good as the other EPs that he put out but I will say that “A Mirror is Harder to Hold” is a great song. Also, if you like brutally honest songs, “Instead of a Show” is pretty blunt. Enjoy!

You can view a sample of the ESV Study Bible (that’s coming out in October). The sample is on the book of Revelation. From what I have seen, the introduction was very informative as if covers the literary style of the book as well as theological considerations. The charts and maps seemed to be helpful as well. I also like the fonts they chose (modern and clean). I love fonts! I am writing about Study Bibles and fonts… I’m a geek!

You can download one song from itunes now, but they are sneaky about which song to download because they keep changing the single?! Oh well… it seems like a good sound so far.
